Background to the assignment:
The product team is in need of an experienced Scrum Master that supports the team. The contractor is expected to provide an outside-in view that will help the team reach new levels of maturity. Due to experiences in other companies or industries, the Scrum Master can coach with state-of-the-art practices.
Detailed description of services:
The services shall be provided within the Scrum framework which is based on an iterative approach to deliver a product or service. The scope of the iteration will be commonly agreed upon and the planning of activities required in each case are worked on together. A core aspect is that all people who are involved in a product development endeavor are self-sufficient and do not follow any instructions. The steps and ways how overarching goals are achieved can be defined by the contractor independently and individually.
Prior to each sprint meeting, the contractor shall independently check based on its professional expertise, which individual services are reasonable and feasible within the scope of the assignment in the respective sprint. Sprint length is 3 weeks with Sprint Review, Retrospective and Sprint Planning happening once per Sprint and the Daily Stand-up happening daily.
The contractor takes the role of a Scrum Master. The Contractor will provide following services based on his previous expertise:
Coaching and consulting product team members to understand and practice Scrum way of working. This includes scheduling and planning of On-Site Workshops and 1:1 meetings with the team members. Workshop creation entails document creation.
Facilitate different scrum ceremonies and ad hoc meeting, as required.
Resolve conflict effectively within the product team to ensure an environment of high
Guide product owner with the backlog prioritization and coach him on agile.
Guide the team to continuously inspect and adapt its processes for improvement by using suitable agile metrics that are aligned with the product vision and goals.
Communicate updates regarding the product status transparently to the stakeholders.
Using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for documentation of meeting outcomes, planning, or other sorts of documentation ( user documentation, user stories, process overview, impediments, product documentation, team metrics).
