Boehringer Ingelheim
Legal Contracts Manager (m/f/n)
The BD&L AH team (the BD&L AH team is part of Global Innovation Animal Health, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica GmbH) is implementing a new IT Tool (INOVA) to manage contracts. The existing contracts need to be reviewed and the obligations out of the contacts need to be added to the new system.
This new tool allows active management of contracts, e.g. milestone payments are flagged and no longer overseen. This will allow the team to actively monitor the costs and will help the team to make strategic decisions.
Scope of work:
- Confirm for all signed contracts in the BD&L (Business Development and Licensing) database:
o that these agreements will be managed by BDL (each licensing/collaboration contract has to be reviewed. Review questions are: Is this contract still active, Who is the contract owner, does BD&L need to pay for the milestones, is it in scope of BD&L or our research teams or e.g. the Global Strategic Marketing teams.; the first 5 to 10 contracts need to be reviewed together with a BD&L person to define exactly the review steps)
o the GI (Global Innovation) project(s) that the respective agreement relates to, incl. the project lead/research champion
o that the GI project is still active
- Review the relevant AH License Agreements in CorA (our database) and establish (subject to confirmation of scope)
o which agreements will be managed by BDL (in addition to the above)
o the GI project(s) that these agreements relate to, incl. the project lead/research champion
o which of these GI projects are still active (the contract has to be opened and in some cases BI colleagues have to be actively questioned)
- Create an excel sheet with active projects which will be entered into the new BD&L IT tool. This list will be reviewed by BI.
- For active GI projects, managed by BI
o Review the agreements for financial and non-financial obligations
o Enter the respective obligations into Inova (our new database) (from January onwards) (the entries will be reviewed by BI)
