Detailed task description
The service is requested as part of the project ?myPlanning Release- and Deployment Project 2023/2024?. The project has the purpose of designing and implementing required changes in myPlanning to ensure usability for the 2023 LTF process as well as to support the deployment of the system for US Human Pharma (HP) and the Regional Center Vienna (RCV) with the Outlook process in 2024. It also includes a dedicated extended hyper care phase until July 2024 to react quickly to required changes with the enhanced setup and with the larger number of new users in the system.
myPlanning is a system implemented on a TM1 Planning Analytics platform, providing web front-ends and planning functionality to enter income statement plan data. Interfaces to other systems provide reference data, plan data, master data as well as send planned data to other downstream reporting systems. Due to the lack of internal expertise in development, BI is in need of an external contractor.
The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the external contractor:
The Contractor will receive access to all needed documentation, contact information, guidelines, and accesses in advance.
Collecting, aligning and prioritizing of functional requirements with the business partner.
Defining of technical specifications based on functional requirements and the contractors technical expertise.
Reviewing of technical specifications from the external development team based on which an estimation of effort needs to be created and presented to BI.
Independent decision based on reviewed technical specifications if requirements can be implemented by the contractor or if external development team needs to be involved.
Implementing of interfaces between myPlanning and source and target systems.
Implementing and programming of individual chores and processes in myPlanning.
Reviewing of components implemented by external developer team and unit testing of these prior to handing them over to business users for testing.
Developing in DevOps mode during hyper care phases to continuously improve the system and fix any arising bugs.
Use Jira to collect and manage demands and required changes during hyper care phase.
Independently monitor planning system (myPlanning)and raise potential risks and issues to BI?s leadership teams in a timely manner in regular bi-weekly alignment meetings and if urgent through mail.
Consulting other BI IT teams (infrastructure, UC4 Automation) on defined demand management and change request processes.
Updating required documentation based on implemented changes in compliance with BI?s internal guidelines for computer system lifecycle documentation (documentation can be found in SAP ITEMS)
Updating project documentation in compliance with BI?s internal project management guidelines and standards
Responding to incidents either by developing bug fixes or forwarding tickets to external development team during hyper care phase in a timely manner and reporting any potential risks of delay to BI?s leadership team
Implementing and operating financial planning applications in IBM Cognos TM1 (version 11: IBM Cognos Planning Analytics 2.0.9.x), mainly using Architect and Perspectives as development tools, TM1 Web and TM1 Top.
Collection and prioritization of user requirements and design of technical solutions
Management and coordination of test activities
5+ years of experience using Java extensions in TM1 is a plus
Software architecture, application design and usability
IBM Cognos TM1 planning architecture
Programming of jobs and chores in TM1
Fluent in English verbally and in writing
